Country Report: Assessment of the EU-FAS in Austria, by Christopher Opancar (independent consultant).

The effects of the Farm Advisory System are generally positive, even though they are difficult to quantify. The main benefit of the FAS was its contribution to raise farmers’ awareness on the effects of their farming practices related to the environment, food safety and animal health/welfare. To some extent FAS helped to further the professionalization of the extension system in Austria. Click below to download the document.
