News: Latvian Living Lab launched
Baltic Studies Centre focused on development of processing and marketing in the fruit sector.
On January 12, 2018, Baltic Studies Centre met with stakeholders of the Latvian Living Lab. The focus of the Latvian Living Lab is on knowledge and advice for the development of processing and marketing in the fruit sector.
During the meeting, representatives of fruit farmers, enterprises, advisors and researchers developed shared understanding of the concept of the living lab within AgriLink2020 project and defined more precisely the topic and practical activities of the living lab taking into account the current situation and the necessary improvements vis-à-vis advisory assistance in the fruit sector.
The first living lab meeting resulted in the proposition of a novel user-oriented knowledge tool/ platform that could be designed and developed as the main output of the living lab activity in Latvia. Exploration of practical ways of going forward with the development of a new knowledge tool will be continued on the next Living Lab meetings. The living lab participants were also keen to share their ideas and learn from the experiences of other AgriLink2020 living labs from the beginning of the project.
