News: Consultation on EU farm policy — evaluation of its impact on knowledge exchange and advisory activities
Starting this November, European Commission is launching a public consultation to support the evaluation of the common agricultural policy’s (CAP) impact on these activities. The evaluation aims to determine whether the CAP objectives of ‘fostering knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture, forestry and rural areas’ are being met, and whether the relevant measures are effective, efficient, coherent, relevant and provide EU added value.
This public consultation aims to gather information and feedback from stakeholders and the wider public and thus contribute to the evidence-base for this evaluation.
All interested parties are invited to give feedback: Farmers/foresters and their associations/organisations, Farm advisers, Training organisers, Public authorities and agencies in EU Member States, Academic/research institutions, Researchers, experts, Private sector stakeholders (and their associations), Environmental and other non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individuals and organisations wishing to contribute to the evaluation by voicing their opinions as citizens.
The evaluation period: 10 November 2020 – 02 February 2021 (midnight Brussels time).
